At NBTY, a lack of a central procedures checklist resulted in costly mistakes when packaging was rejected at the plant.

Solution

To prevent the problem from impacting future projects, Shawn developed a master list of tasks to be completed and how they should be cross-checked. Further, he updated protocols used by teammates. By carefully verifying documents prior to releasing them to third parties, Shawn has helped to substantially reduce error rates. Fewer products failing to meet internal or FDA labeling standards save time and money.

Earlier in his career, Shawn's manager at Apple singled him out to join a newly formed consultative sales team at MacCenter, a value added reseller for Apple.The role allowed for complete control and responsibility for assigned accounts in north and central Florida. Effectively running his own business from home, hotels and the car, Shawn achieved his $3 million quota.

An action plan is developed for each new task. While at MacCenter Shawn discovered a sales lead at a dormant account.
